50 Journal Prompts for Self-Discovery and a Little More Joy
There is a particular kind of stuck where you know you want to journal, you have the pretty notebook, and then you open it and… the blank page just stares back. What do you even write?
That is what prompts are for. A good prompt is a little door into yourself, one you might not have opened otherwise. Here are 50, sorted by what you might need today. Pick one, set a timer for ten minutes, and see where it takes you. There are no wrong answers, and no one else ever has to read it.

How to make it stick
The best journaling habit is a tiny one. You do not need to write a novel. A few honest lines counts. Attach it to something you already do, like your morning coffee or your bedtime routine, and let it be messy. The point is not pretty writing. It is a few quiet minutes of paying attention to yourself, which is rarer and more valuable than it sounds.
If prompt 49 stumped you, our free bucket list generator can help you build a joy list for the season, and the Hidden Joy quiz is a lovely companion to a self-discovery page or two.
